Getting knocked off course.

For admin reasons, there’ll be no tourist visits to the observatory until January at the earliest. Luckily for me, it’s the cruise ship season, and I’ll get work guiding bus excursions, but it’ll be less work than usual.

So that’s more time for writing, yes?

It should be, but my days seem overfull with little to no writing getting done, although I’m working on a short story called, “The Queen’s Knickers.” Well, I’m still studying German, recovering from an ear infection which left me tired, and I’ve caught up with the usual, boring domestic stuff.

Meanwhile, tomorrow is a good day to dye. My roots are showing.

Things just keep knocking me off course.

Sheila came to La Palma with a six month contract and has stayed 24 years so far. She used to work as a software engineer at the observatory, but now she's a writer and Starlight guide.
