Corpus Christi tomorrow

  Tomorrow is Corpus Christi in Mazo. That is, they’ll be making the archways and carpets tonight, and most people will go and see them tomorrow, but they’ll stay up until Sunday night. Also on Sunday they’ll hold a special mass in the church followed by a procession around the archways. The archways will stay up until Sunday. At long,long last, the Spanish second edition of my guide book to the observatory, “Una espectacular ventana al universo” has gone to the printers. Coffee

The residencia has a new coffee machine, which makes rather nice coffee. You buy a token from reception, put it in and press the button for your choice of coffee. Then you see the coffee pouring down the drain, swear, and grab a cup fast enough to catch the second half of the coffee. That’s right – no plastic cups. It’s better for the planet, and anyway I prefer drinking…

I think I made a reasonably thorough job of item one on my post-Starlight-Guide-course list, which was “Chill”. I don’t seem to have got much further, though.
