  Next week the European Astronomical Society (EAS) will be holding their annual meeting at the ‘Guajara Campus’ of the University of La Laguna (ULL) in La Laguna, Tenerife. This is the 23rd EWASS, and the first one in Tenerife. The organisers are expecting over 1,100 participants. Well that was nice!

I got a rather mysterious phone call from one of the bookshops which sells my book.  The owner said that she’d sold one, and the other was stained, but I had to come and see what stained it.  “It’s a surprise.
