I went for a walk with my friend Petra. We both like going very slowly and taing lots and lots of photos. I think the moss heart on the old roof above was the favourite find for both of us.
But we agreed that these fern roots peeking out from behind the stone do look rather like some strange animal with lots of legs.
And at the risk of spoiling it, this isn’t really a tail – I think it’s the “cone” of a Norfolk Island pine tree (they’re not true pines, but related to pine trees). It still looks like a scaly tail to me.
