The book Are We Nearly Famous? has come about as a result of four writing friends looking for a way to promote each other’s work. Patsy Collins, Sheila Crosby and Rosemary Kind originally met through an online writing forum while Lynne Pardoe joined the group later. Hacienda de Abajo is a historical hotel in Tazacorte. Sometimes I visit with a group of guests from a cruise ship. We tour the hotel then have coffee in the gorgeous garden. The place is always full of charming details, like these flowers on a washbasin.

Mt Teide often forms a banner cloud; the locals say that Teide is wearing its cap. At this time of year the sun rises behind Tenerife, so any clouds, including the cap, are backlit.
Rough week
On Tuesday last week Chai Latte discovered loo roll. We had to clean up the confetti in the living room. On Wednesday morning I slipped in the shower and fell right out of the tub, grabbing at the shower head as I went down.
