Sunday photos: it’s raining

The LST in the fog (with MAGIC II behind)

It’s raining. And to be fair, it’s supposed to rain at this time of year and the island will be all the better for it. You don’t get a beautiful green island without rain. It did complicate my morning’s tour guiding a bit though. I missed out almost all the bit on the heliport because there was no point people standing in the rain so I could say, “The Issac Newton Telescope is behind the fog over there, and the Galileo is behind the fog over there.”

It also made the drive down a little slower than usual, since there were rocks and washovers to contend with. And somehow I didn’t fancy stopping for a short walk to clear my head.

It was quite nice to get home and have a hot meal.
