I remember occasionally finding hedgehogs in our garden in Leeds when I was a kid. We generally used to give them bread and milk, although they eat insects, snails, frogs, toads, snakes, birds eggs, carrion, fruits, mushrooms, grass roots. I was with an Iranian friend when she saw one for the first time, and that’s when I realised how very odd they look if you’re not used to them. They’re related…
Yes, I’m a day late. So shoot me. It’s been a very busy week. I find bats interesting but I never thought of them as cute until I saw pictures of baby bats. But of course, they’re baby mammals, and most baby mammals are cute. What with drinking milk and enjoying a cuddle. This one even has a teddy bear.
I need a break from politics. It’s Squee time. Of course baby rabbits are very squee-worthy. And we have to have a kitten too. And of course there’s the famous Monty Python rabbit: Everyone knows rabbits are harmless right? We’ll here’s how one mummy rabbit reacts when she finds a snake trying to suffocate her baby:
I’m feeling busy and overloaded. Here are some photos that cheered me up – I hope you like them too.
