Sunday Photos: filming for German TV

December 16, 2019

I had a fun job today, helping a German company called “Bewegte Zeiten Filmproduktion” film a couple visiting the Roque. I met them in the port and we drove up together. Of course what you see on screen doesn’t just happen. The cameraman sat beside the driver and turned around to photograph the couple. That meant that the producer had to duck out of the shot. Sunday photos: chai Latte asleep

December 8, 2019

Chai Latte gets into some really funny positions while she sleeps. In other news, I’ve finished a long translation and I just finished the round robin letter to go with the Christmas cards. As expected, I was sad to leave on Friday morning. The trip started off well enough – 8 am…

#AmWriting

October 9, 2019

The third draft of my novel is going well. The Crooked House is a great place to write. I tried various spots: the little dining table, the bedroom and the terrace. Now I’ve settled on a writing desk in the lounge with the office chair. It’s comfy and well lit and near the kettle. Behind me, out of the photo, there’s a TV with DVDs etc., but I haven’t watched…
