The lost week

Where did the last eleven days go? Well I went to see the bell of La Verdad finally arrive on La Palma. I’ve had three mornings’ work as a tour guide. I’ve had my German oral exam and passed: three more exams to go. I’ll be done in a couple of weeks but I still have a lot of studying to do. Apart from that it’s something of a mystery…

Photo of the week: Jade vine flower

Yesterday I saw a jade vine in flower for the first time in my life. As you can see, it’s not really jade coloured, much less emerald (the other name for the plant) but it is very pretty. After a bit of googling I discovered that it’s in the pea family, and the Latin name is Strongylodon macrobotrys and it comes from the Phillipines.

I got my lovely laptop back

My laptop developed a fault. I had to jiggle the power lead around to get it to charge, and it got worse and worse until I could hardly use the laptop. So I couldn’t do any blog posts even though it’s carnival and I had photos of the snow at the Roque. Now my husband’s fixed it, bless him, so I can get busy on the blogs. Only I’ve caught another…

Writing Roundup for 2017
