We now have a shiny new router which should speed up Internet access. And I have a major case of flat batteries. Mind you, I’ll probably be fine in a day or so, but we’ll still have faster internet.

Last year I made a point of putting out two submissions per week, and not surprisingly, I sold a lot more. My friend Alba Molina has an exhibition of paintings up at El Alisio, along with Esteban Lorenzo and Juan Diego Villasán. The exhibition is open from 4:40 – 8:30 pm, Monday – Friday, plus Saturdays from 10:30 am – 1 pm, until June 11th. This weekend they’re holding the second biggest livestock fair on the island, at San Isidro, in Breña Alta. (The biggest is San Antonio del Monte, in June). People bring their animals, and there are prizes for the best milk cow, best bull, best goat, etc. Most of the animals are tied up in big field while they wait for the judging, and you can go around admiring them. I’ve given up the teaching job. It didn’t take up all that much time, maybe 5 hours a week, but that cut my writing time from about 7 hours a week to about 2. Not good.
