It’s been freakishly warm for months, but winter suddenly arrived on Thursday. I pretty much spent the day hibernating, apart form German class. Yesterday morning I went into town. It was raining but that usually means very short queues everywhere. I didn’t take an umbrella because of the gusty wind, just a cagoule. I got everything done, with gaps of waiting around in shops for the heavy showers, then headed back to the car parked outside town. I only had about 300 yards to go when the heavens opened, and it was cold rain too. By the time I reached the car I was soaked from the hips down.
I was in a hurry to get into the car for obvious reasons, and I didn’t realise that I’d get the car seat wet until after I sat down. Oh well.
So I drove home, changed out of my soaking wet clothes and produced a quick lunch. Then I was in a hurry to take my son to cookery school, and I sat down before I remembered the wet seat. I came home and changed my clothes again.
Oddly enough I didn’t feel like yoga that afternoon.
Anyway, the bad weather’s gone. It’s still rather cold, but the rain’s stopped which is great. Tonight’s the sardine’s funeral in Los Sauces, and for once I made time to dress up.
I love the hat! Can’t make out your familiar very well though – can we have another pic of him/her?
