Fiesta de la Cruz 2010

Last night we went to look at the crosses. It was still very early, so the area around Cruz de la Pavona, at the top end of Breña Alta was packed with people. My husband was so busy not driving over pedestrians that he went past the turn off to go down the hill past the usual run of crosses. After that it was one way down the hill, so we saw a different set, and they were nice, too.  At Cruz de la Montaña, they had a band playing beside the cross.

I particularly liked the cross outside the infant school in San Miguel, Breña Alta.

San Miguel had two crosses, unusually close together. I suspect they couldn’t agree, so they did two instead of one.

I didn’t see many mayos. This was my favourite.

And lastly, San José cross was sort-of Japanese, with a dragon, and paper bonsai trees.
