Happy New Year

We had a rather quiet New Year at home, but still rather nice. In Spain it’s traditional to eat one grape for each “bong” of the clock. If you manage all twelve in the time it’s supposed to bring success and prosperity. This year we had small, seedless grapes and I scarfed them down in time. Then we drank champagne, watched the fireworks and went to bed.

I’ve been rather tired/lazy lately, so I haven’t done my usual review of last year beyond “survived”, nor have I made any real plans for the New Year, and no new year’s resolutions although I fancy learning to talk like a pirate, me hearties. The important thing is that I’m healthy and my immediate family is healthy, and other are still plenty of things to enjoy.

So, Happy New Year to both of my readers. I hope at least some of your wishes for 2023 come true.
