Ufff! That’s the translation and all associated paperwork completed, which is quite a relief. Wouldn’t you know it, my phone died, right in the middle of recovering a password which didn’t help at all. Luckily we have a not-very-smart phone which we keep for emergencies. After charging it and moving the SIM card and memory card over I had a phone again. Of course that left me with apps to download and lots more passwords to recover, but in the end I got it all done. I collapsed in a heap for a bit afterwards, though.
To my astonishment Rosie and Alison managed to finish a film in time for Festivalito, after most people left the project and took most of the equipment with them. (It was their equipment and they had every right to do so, but if you’re putting in an all-nighter to edit a film, it really helps if it’s the computer you’re used to.) Here it is – in Spanish. I’m the dancer with butterfly wings starting at 2:38
There wasn’t a lot of week left after all that. I’ve kept taking baby steps planning the next novel and improving my German and decluttering, but all things considered, I don’t think I did too badly. I managed a short walk up the San Juan lava flow from 1949 which is where the photos are from. I’m rather looking forward to seeing how much I can get done next week.
