Happy Birthday Chai Latte

August 26, 2019

Chai Latte is a found cat who adopted us in October last year. Consequently we don’t know her exact birthday, but August 20th was the vet’s guess. Anyway, it’s close enough to celebrate, so I cooked her a salmon fillet, stuck a candle in it, and we sang Happy Birthday. We needed this cat. Sunday photos: La Salemera

August 18, 2019

I went for a walk with my friend Petra. We spent a little time on the side road that leads to the Playa del Porís where we found this man working on his vines.     Then we decided that it really was too hot, so we went to La Salemera to photograph the sea and have a beer at the kiosk. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope it’s not a train. Meanwhile Chai Latte is as entertaining and photogenic as ever. We start most mornings with a brief snuggle together…

Sunday photos: seed heads

July 21, 2019

I’ve had two photo sessions at the observatory this week, trying to finish up illustrations for the third edition of “A Breathtaking Window on the Universe“. Last Sunday I had permission to take sunset photos around the MAGIC telescope. I took five minutes out from that to photograph these backlit seed heads. They aren’t dandelions, but i think they must be in the same family. After I got the photo…
