A family of chickens beside a bus stop in Santa Cruz
Chickens wondering around in Santa Cruz

The lurgy’s doing better than I am.

Well no, it’s not that bad in the cosmic scheme of things, but I’m tired and getting a lot less done. I did manage to wrangle chapter 40 into some sort of shape and now I’m struggling with chapter 41. These are very short chapters and it’s not supposed to take a whole week to edit one, or even rewrite it.

This morning I had a group at the Roque which went well but I was very tired when I got home. If I hadn’t already missed two German lessons last week, I’d have crawled into bed. As it was,I dutifully dragged myself into Santa Cruz where at least I got to see this family of chickens apparently waiting for the bus.
