Sunday Photos: backlit flowers

One of the advantages of going for a walk early in the morning is the near horizontal light. I’ve been havng a nice time photographing backlit flowers this week. It’s also nice to get out early because it’s pretty hot by mid afternoon. Next week the beaches open up, but I think I’ll wait for a couple of days before I go myself – I’m worried that they’ll be crowded. Instead I’ve been working on my novel Murder by Starlight, which is a whodunnit set in the observatory. I’ve done some writing and a lot of research for one of the characters.

At long last we’re allowed to visit friends (with precautions). I’ve visited two and loved it.

Theresa still has a crowdfunder going for her own book, “Falling Upwards“. It’s her autobiography and tells of all the adversities she’s overcome, slowly backing into a much happier life. As she says, “Never give up no matter what life throws at you.”
I’ll find something or other to earn money again.

Sheila came to La Palma with a six month contract and has stayed 24 years so far. She used to work as a software engineer at the observatory, but now she's a writer and Starlight guide.
