I’ve made steady progress this week, but I don’t have anything very exciting to report. I’ve learned about Spanish civics and rivers, produced a different length of synopsis for Murder by Starlight and fleshed out my character profiles for “Pinch Me”. Oh, and I’ve updated my amazon author page It is progress really, but it doesn’t much feel like it.
Again, I’m not really happy with my writing progress this week. I did start making notes on my characters which involved getting to grips with Scrivener a little more. The next agents I want to query ask for a writer’s CV, so I’ve been busy finding out what the heck you put in that. Again. my lack of writing progress is partly because I’ve had a social life. It’s not been a productive week. I kept having a social life instead, visiting mutiple friends I’ve been neglecting. I finally installed a paid version of Scrivener on both the home and office computers, which is a nice thing to have finally done. During the next week I want to import all my notes for the next novel and write some character notes.

I’ve seen it for years and wanted to get closer, but the hill is very steep so it takes time to walk up. My friend is waiting for a COVID test result. Since we had coffee together on Wednesday I’m also waiting for her COVID result to see if I need a test myself. It’s not as bad as it sounds. She has a slight fever and feels achy, but really it’s much more likely to be a normal cold. But seeing as she’s a teacher she felt the responsible thing to do…
Sow thistles look rather like a dandelion gone ballistic. They’re also really popular with insects. This morning I when to the garden at the Caldera visitor centre, and had fun trying to get macro photos of all the insects enjoying the feast. I made lots and lots of notes for the new novel.
